OUR EFFORTS ON THE HILL

PAVING THE WAY

Zilis is actively working to revitalize American agriculture. We are building relationships with lawmakers coast to coast to help get the Hemp Farming Act of 2018 passed. Our state-level initiatives aim to embolden the hemp industry, add muscle to farming in America, and create jobs in the process.

GRASSROOTS EFFORTS

Indiana, Texas, Kentucky, and more states to come: we’re committed to building consensus throughout the country in favor of the versatile hemp plant – and that means meetings with lawmakers, discussions with influencers, and educating communities about the benefits of hemp, of CBD oil, and of a pro-hemp, pro-farming legislative environment at all levels.

Zilis is passionate about hemp-derived CBD for many reasons. Each day, we receive reports from our customers across the nation telling us how much UltraCell® has changed their lives. In addition, we are passionate about the potential the hemp industry has to greatly impact the American economy. Hemp could become America’s next great cash crop – with some experts predicting its sales could eclipse those of tobacco or even corn in the near future – and more hemp grown in the USA can potentially provide hope and a future for American farmers not seen for decades.

HEMP IS THE NEXT GREAT COMMODITY

Our goal is to secure passage of bi-partisan legislation that would establish hemp as an agricultural commodity. Our efforts include a targeted grassroots lobbying campaign that will bring leading farmers and business executives to Washington to secure final passage of Senate Bill 2667 and House Bill 5485, The Hemp Farming Act of 2018.

Texas is a trailblazing state for the nation’s hemp movement. Not only is Texas where Zilis is headquartered, it’s where we are building local relationships with governmental leaders. It’s part of a bi-partisan approach to hemp that we hope will change the perception of this valuable plant, and lead to unlimited access to CBD for all of those that need it.

KENTUCKY: BLUEGRASS, BOURBON, AND HEMP

Bi-partisan leaders from the great state of Kentucky have played a a pivotal role in the hemp revolution. The model developed in the Bluegrass State is now being duplicated across the nation. Zilis is working closely with stakeholders nationwide to ensure that the birth of the American hemp industry is done right. Thanks to the generosity of the major players in Kentucky, we’re collapsing timeframes and expanding rapidly.

As new states explore the hemp industry and its potential, Zilis stands ready to our expertise to wherever there is a desire to grow hemp and grow American jobs.

THE HEMP INDUSTRY LEGISLATIVE CHAMPION:
MITCH McCONNELL

Senator Mitch McConnell is arguably America’s greatest proponent of the hemp industry. He has witnessed how much hemp has revitalized the economy of his home-state and that’s why he co-authored the Hemp Farming Act. Zilis is working with the Senator’s team and other lawmakers to ensure its passage as part of the upcoming Farm Bill.

No effort such as this can happen alone. Hemp has been used for thousands of years, and CBD oil has only recently emerged as a potentially powerful product. Join Zilis in our quest to help make hemp a mainstream plant.
